“As a pescatarian Tipo 00 is one of my favourite restaurants in Melbourne. The spaghetti alle vongole is sublime — possibly the best in the city. Linguine with bottarga is equally brilliant. No peanuts anywhere near this kitchen.”
“Zero peanuts on the menu — confirmed with staff. The prawn dishes are outstanding. As a pescatarian with a peanut allergy this place is one of very few where I feel completely safe. Can't recommend it enough.”
“Confirmed no peanuts anywhere on the menu — the chef came out to speak with me directly when I mentioned my anaphylaxis. The charcoal prawns were cooked on a dedicated section. This is how every restaurant should handle serious allergies.”
“Great food but the satay skewers nearly landed me in hospital — I asked whether they contained peanuts and the server said no, but they absolutely did. Very scary for someone with anaphylaxis. The prawn dishes were excellent but I won't be back given the allergy communication failure.”
“100% dedicated gluten-free kitchen — no cross-contamination risk whatsoever. The pasta was genuinely the best GF pasta I've ever had. They also cater for other allergies. Will definitely be my new go-to.”
“Always call ahead about nuts — they cook with peanut oil but have a dedicated nut-free option if you warn them. Halal certified.”
“Lovely place but double-check the sauces — some contain soy.”
“Staff were very knowledgeable about gluten. They confirmed the kitchen uses separate fryers for gluten-free items. Would definitely go back.”
