Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account details — your name, email address, and password (stored hashed).
• Dietary profile — the diets and allergens you tell us about, so we can personalise menus and feeds. This is sensitive information; we only use it to provide the service.
• Content you share — dining experiences, photos, comments, and reactions you post publicly.
• Location — only when you grant browser permission, to show nearby restaurants. We do not store a location history.
• Orders — items you order through a restaurant’s QR menu, shared with that restaurant to fulfil your order. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number.

How we use it

To run Edible: personalising menus to your dietary needs, showing community experiences, processing orders, and alerting kitchens to dietary requirements you choose to attach to an order. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

Who can see what

Experiences you share are public, including your name and photos. Your dietary profile is private, except when you attach dietary requirements to an order — those are shown to the restaurant’s kitchen for that order only.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your shared experiences and dietary profile at any time. To delete your account and associated data, contact us at the address below.
